It's probably something to do with the fact that the files are literally local to your computer and not your echo and therefore not obtainable via the internet Your laptop has those songs stored on it so can play them and if it's synced to your phone then this data is also stored on your phone but the echo presumably cannot store the relevant files so can't play them.
